Guess who's back, back again

Jack Frost goes where he's needed. That's his duty as a Guardian.
And obviously where he's needed right now is here.
Knowing now that he can go there and back makes it easier to be back - especially since there's snow on the ground once more. Especially since the palace, already always bizarrely full of children in his experience, seems to be practically crawling with them now.
So he seems to be a little bit everywhere at once - hanging out in the candy room, zipping through the halls, messing with the castle's otherwise meticulous decorations and sometimes adding his own in the form of interesting frost patterns on the walls or snow on the Christmas trees.
But, being Jack Frost, he can especially be found doing what he does best. Anyone who ventures outside over the next few days had best beware, because they're liable to get a snowball lobbed at their face with little more than a warning cry of "Heads up!"
If his target is a child, they might find themselves feeling a bit better about life - a bit more willing to stop and have some fun today as Jack's magic takes hold. If his target is an adult, they're liable to just get wet slush down the back of their neck.

don't really have icons for this but hey
Date: 2018-02-05 10:32 pm (UTC)The snowball, not so much. It's cold and wet and horrid--he's never seen snow. There are a lot of weird new concepts in this castle... he may look eight or nine, but he's months old.
"What was that for! Don't do that!"
Hey~.
Date: 2018-02-06 12:43 am (UTC)He conjures up another snowball with a wave of his hand, but doesn't toss it this time. Instead, he floats a little nearer to hold it out to Kuja instead. Jack's skin is cold as snow itself, so he can hold it as long as needed without worrying about melting - no matter how much time it takes to talk Kuja around.
"It'a a snowball. For a snowball fight. C'mon, throw this one at me. It's fun!"

Date: 2018-02-06 12:56 am (UTC)What a silly thing to like. His tail is swishing, probably with a bit of excitement. This giant old stone building is better than Bran Bal. He scoops up the snowball obediently, sinking his fingers into it and shrugging mentally before he goes ahead and chucks it right at Jack's face. He asked for it!

Date: 2018-02-06 02:02 am (UTC)He straightens up, brushes a bit of snow off his cheek, and then takes a second look at his new friend. "I like your hair." He floats in a slow circle around Kuja, adding with a grin: "And your tail. My name's Jack. What's yours'?"

Date: 2018-02-06 02:10 am (UTC)The floating doesn't seem to impress him in the slightest--he could do that himself. And has. There's just no need right now.
"...Doesn't anyone else have a tail here? There was someone else, but they wouldn't talk to me."
Or share that very nice noise machine! How rude.

Date: 2018-02-07 02:35 pm (UTC)He turns slowly in the air until he's looking at Kuja upside-down. He doesn't even seem to be trying terribly hard to impress the boy. This is just his version of restless fidgeting. "I'm sure whoever it was didn't mean to be rude. Like I said, a lot of weirdos. So some of the people here are just shy."

Date: 2018-02-07 05:28 pm (UTC)He's insulted. Only a little bit, but still.
"I'm not a weirdo! You're the ones who are different and weird! All the people in Bran Bal have a tail."
(Bramble?)
He's not upset for long, though. Just a few seconds. And he's slowly tilting his head as Jack turns upside-down, trying to keep the 'weirdo' right-side up. Well, until it starts making him dizzy. "What's a bunny rabbit?"

Date: 2018-02-19 01:07 am (UTC)"That's my friend. They're usually cuter, though." A twitch of his staff, and the image dissolves and reforms into something more like a standard rabbit, bright-eyed and bushy tailed as it stares at Kuja with ice-bright eyes.
"They don't have rabbits where you come from? What about Easter?"
(no subject)
Date: 2018-02-19 01:51 am (UTC)"No. All the real animals died a long time ago, before even Garland was alive. Except the silver dragons. I don't know what Easter is either."

Date: 2018-02-12 04:07 am (UTC)A Pitch with gold on his robe, around the waist and on his collar and sleeves. A Pitch who looks healthy and well-fed, not miserable and on the bleeding edge of starvation. A Pitch with a black staff eerily similar to Jack's.
A Pitch who ducks into the shadows before he can be slushed. He reappears up in a tree, grinning down at the cold boy.
"You'll have to be faster than that."

Date: 2018-02-19 12:53 am (UTC)His mind is racing, rapidly putting pieces together. His memories returned to him pretty quickly, including the unpleasant ones. Kosmotis Pitchiner. A name even Pitch Black did not remember. But, having seen what's happened to a few other familiar faces here, it's not hard to guess what's going on now.
Jack recovers quickly, grinning up at Pitch. If he looks a little shaky about it, maybe that's just from the surprise of finding himself confronted with a worthy opponent.
"Challenge accepted!"
He feints left, then right, darting under and up the tree to try and pelt Pitch from the back.

Date: 2018-02-19 03:10 am (UTC)"Why even bother? You're far too slow!"
