A (the forest, evening)
In the forest, there is something strange. And something awful.
Deep in the woods, smoke has begun to rise, mingling with the pristine clouds of the Edge. Orange fingers of flame just barely peek through the canopy, pushing aside the treetops to let the smoke out, but with each passing minute the smoke grows thicker, the flame dips higher. The heat from the blaze is almost enough to cut the chill--but not quite yet.
If someone cares enough to investigate or try to stop it--well, they can try. But they'd better hurry.
B (the forest, late evening)
The fire has only gotten bigger.
It licks at the grass and leaps from tree to tree--now a little more than third of the forest is up in flames, throwing smoke into the air, heat rolling off of it in waves, and flakes of soot and charcoal fly into the air like dying birds. The fire is clawing its way towards the castle, dangerously close to climbing its way over its walls, into the windows, and into the hallways. By now, it's surely not simply going to burn itself out for a while, and someone had better spread the word before someone gets stuck.
C (castle and forest, early night)
The fire is beautiful at night.
It's too bad it's eaten half of the forest and half of the castle, a monstrous thing at its head--a demon thing of horns and teeth and hooves, splitting bone and burned wood, fur dripping with ash, fire between its eyes. The wildfire follows wherever it goes, and it does go, leaping through the halls and over rooftops, galloping at the edge of the forest.
Strange thing, though--it's missing half a foreleg, which does help slow it down enough to make chases a bit more manageable--but even then, they're so fast. It's a good thing they don't have all four legs intact.
[The fire mingle is go! Info and planning thread here. Your character can very well sit this one out, of course, if they want. There's actually a fair amount of places that will be untouched by the end of this.]

Date: 2017-11-01 10:54 pm (UTC)Undyne should be here, Starlight Idol thinks, diving into the flames again.
(Not the first time he's had that thought.)
She'd probably have put out the fire by now, with a few well placed Furious Tidal Waves. But he's doing what he can. He can withstand the heat, long enough to search for anyone who's trapped. He can light the way to safety through the smoky halls. He's blown up a few corridors at strategic points, after making sure he wasn't trapping anyone inside, hoping sealing them off will at least slow down the spread of the fire.
There's someone else who looks to be in trouble now, and he flies to them, a glittering pink star amid the smoke. "Hold on, darling! I'll get you out of here!"
C - FIGHT
And then he finds the source of the trouble.
He freezes for a moment, in mid-air, gripping his wand so tight he'd be afraid it might snap, if he was thinking right now. It's them. Of course it's them. He's seen them storming through the castle before now, literally smouldering with fury, and - he'd thought it would be best to stay out of their way. For both their sakes. After what he did to them -
- he still doesn't think that decision was only based in cowardice, even now, even as he's realising he should have known better, not just written their changes off as the castle's work. Should have recognised a SOUL Falling into despair and rage, the way too many monsters have. This is the castle's doing, it's not exactly the same, but it's close enough. This is what his powers are for.
To stop them. To save them.
He's not the right person to do that for so many reasons, but he has to try.
Above their head, there's a crack of lightning, and a voice that carries over the roar of the flames.
"FRISK, STOP!"

Date: 2017-11-02 10:58 am (UTC)The stab of panic, regret, and fear that races through it is very quickly muffled by lava-hot fury, accusatory for almost nothing, screaming for recompense for something they brought on themself. It stops in its tracks, gnashes its teeth. Someone wants to stop it? He can try.
The demon-thing shakes its horns, clangs them against a nearby rock that sends sparks flying. A challenge.
and only after you replied did i realise i messed up my formatting orz
Date: 2017-11-04 09:11 pm (UTC)- well, he doesn't have much of a plan after that, beyond 'keep them busy'. Hopefully his strength can outlast theirs, and if not...
(it doesn't matter)
...at least he'll have tried.
"I'm right here, darling!" he calls, and throws a Glitterbomb, aiming it far enough behind them that it shouldn't do any real damage, beyond the shockwave pushing them forward. "Come and get me!"

Date: 2017-11-08 04:53 am (UTC)The fire beneath the charcoal and ash of its skin seems to light up even brighter for a second, as if fuel's been thrown into a fire. Smells like smoke.
It takes off after Starlight, and you'd had better run--with a target, those hooves are fast, even with a missing leg. Feel lucky it does not have all four.

Date: 2017-11-09 12:47 am (UTC)He twirls amid the flames, throws another attack that won't hit them but should send them in the right direction, he hopes. Lasers would be easier, blue for stop, orange for go, but that doesn't work when they can't tell the difference...
They're gaining on him. Faster.
(or they'll pin him down and rip him to pieces again and again and)
(he'd deserve it)
Is he heading the right way? He leaps up to stand on the burning stump of a tree, feels it creak and sway beneath him. No problem. He doesn't have to worry about falling. There. Not too far now, the edge of the fire. Ash and blackened ground.
He takes off again, kicking the stump down as he goes.

Date: 2017-11-11 05:57 am (UTC)The wildfire, the wildfire, it can see in the wildfire light--the outlines of things reveal themselves to it, and it can see Starlight now--or his silhouette, really. They huff a cloud of black smoke, hollow eyes narrowing. It sees you now. Hooves pound the blackened earth. Its antlers clatter through low-hanging branches, its pointed ends aimed forward.

Date: 2017-11-18 09:54 pm (UTC)"Frisk!" Use their name. Sometimes that helps. "I know why you're doing this!"
And then here they are, and he's bringing his wand up to block their attack, deflecting their antlers away as he twists out of reach - or that's the plan. He doesn't expect to come out of this unscathed. Not at all.

Date: 2017-12-01 02:02 am (UTC)It barely hears him, it's so outraged, only acknowledging him with a dubious snarl. It goes for him again, dipping its head and swinging it back up, with the goal of using its antlers to gut him, or at least carve, or scratch. It'll settle for any kind of damage at this point. It just wants him to hurt. It just wants him to burn.

Date: 2017-12-06 12:21 am (UTC)After what you have done.
I want you to suffer.
He scrambles to his feet, gripping the wand for support.
Will they listen to him now, or ever? Can they?
He has to try.
"H... ha... you're really not holding back, are you, darling?"

Date: 2017-12-30 04:45 am (UTC)It doesn't want to grace him with an answer, not now. It cares less for hearing words and more for hearing him in pain, a goal conveyed in those two strikes.
It backs up, head low, the fire between its empty and blind eyes blazing. It's got only an idea of where he is, but an idea is all it needs, circling him in the field of broken trees. Its step is odd where its one hoof is missing. And it charges, again.

Date: 2018-01-06 10:40 pm (UTC)"You don't care -"
They're almost on him when he leaps, soaring over their head with a glittering comet trail streaking behind him, landing behind them on the charred ground. Oh, but they're fast, though. If it wasn't for that one missing hoof, he'd be in much more trouble.
"- what I say, what I do, you just want me to hurt -" Backing away as he speaks, toward the trees again. "Am I right?"
