Kotetsu...isn't quite sure what's going on here. His first thought was that this place must be some sort of weird school? A "boarding school", like he's read about in some books. A school far away from home. But there are no teachers - at least, none of the adults will admit to being one. And none of the other kids seem to think it's one.
If he's been kidnapped again, it's a lot more comfortable than last time.
But one thing he does know is that people need his help! It might not be with anything as heroic as stopping a bank robbery or beating up a kidnapper - yet - but they still need his help! And as a (future) hero, he is determined to do whatever he can!
...but feeling like a hero is easier if you have a costume. That's one of the most important things he's learned from TV.
So some people might find Kotetsu out on the lawn one day, a bedsheet in one hand and a pair of scissors in the other, as he industriously works to make a suitable cape and maybe even a mask for himself. The scissors are a bit big and also maybe made for his other hand, but he keeps at it anyway, frowning down at his work with his tongue stuck out just a bit.
In the end, he has a cape that's a bit ragged at the edges, and a domino mask that keeps slipping down over one eye. But it's enough to embolden him to seek out people who might need help!
Or maybe just train his abilities by racing through the hallways really fast. Or trying to carry a Christmas tree from one room to the other. If you should happen to see a twelve year old boy dragging a Christmas tree behind him with one hand, don't bother asking if he needs help. He's got this covered.

Date: 2018-02-05 01:30 am (UTC)Grune is on her way to...somewhere (now where was she going?) when she sees someone very hard at work on the front lawn. She comes closer to cheer them on--and then her smile blossoms into something very large indeed.
"Kotetsu!" she calls out as she approaches. "It's so good to see you again!"

Date: 2018-02-06 07:08 pm (UTC)He’s definitely not at home, or even at the boarding school, or visiting with Uncle Maverick. Both his guardian and Samantha are nowhere to be found, but that doesn’t really make him that nervous. It should, but the castle, despite being so strange, gives him the feeling of familiarity.
He can’t really discern why until he steps out into the hallway, just fast enough to catch a child surrounded by blue blur past him. He has to watch him come back the other way before he knows for sure.
It’s hard to tell with how fast he’s going, and he’s a little bit older than he remembers, but there’s no mistaking the other child. Barnaby feels a smile tug at his lips as he activates his own power and speeds off after the other.]
Kotetsu! Kotetsu, wait!

"N-No," he stammers, suddenly shy. "I mean, yes. I mean...was this your bedsheet, Mr. Ghost?"

Date: 2018-02-25 12:29 am (UTC)- well, he has a lot of complicated feelings, all of which can be dealt with when he's alone. That's what alone time is for.
It's hard to return a bow when you're shaped like a floating blob with no waist to bend at. Metta just has to do a polite little bob in mid-air and hope the human gets it.
"No, no... sorry, sweetheart, I didn't mean to intrude." Humans seem to be easily spooked - which makes sense, he guesses, they'll never have seen a ghost like him before. He'll need to be careful. "I was just curious. You seemed to be so hard at work."
