Undyne should be here, Starlight Idol thinks, diving into the flames again.
(Not the first time he's had that thought.)
She'd probably have put out the fire by now, with a few well placed Furious Tidal Waves. But he's doing what he can. He can withstand the heat, long enough to search for anyone who's trapped. He can light the way to safety through the smoky halls. He's blown up a few corridors at strategic points, after making sure he wasn't trapping anyone inside, hoping sealing them off will at least slow down the spread of the fire.
There's someone else who looks to be in trouble now, and he flies to them, a glittering pink star amid the smoke. "Hold on, darling! I'll get you out of here!"
C - FIGHT
And then he finds the source of the trouble.
He freezes for a moment, in mid-air, gripping his wand so tight he'd be afraid it might snap, if he was thinking right now. It's them. Of course it's them. He's seen them storming through the castle before now, literally smouldering with fury, and - he'd thought it would be best to stay out of their way. For both their sakes. After what he did to them -
- he still doesn't think that decision was only based in cowardice, even now, even as he's realising he should have known better, not just written their changes off as the castle's work. Should have recognised a SOUL Falling into despair and rage, the way too many monsters have. This is the castle's doing, it's not exactly the same, but it's close enough. This is what his powers are for.
To stop them. To save them.
He's not the right person to do that for so many reasons, but he has to try.
Above their head, there's a crack of lightning, and a voice that carries over the roar of the flames.

"FRISK, STOP!"
