What bothers them most right now isn't that they're suddenly someplace they don't know and thus are not at home, it's that they're suddenly someplace they don't know and thus is going to bump into literally Every Single Obstruction that exists here. Honestly, they'd be more concerned about being displaced from their family if they weren't annoyed about the prospect of having to get used to a possibly enormous place. Nobody better move the furniture around.

After a solid minute of laying on the ground they sit up. Feels like grass, sounds like water is rushing nearby. A park? Frisk stands up and starts shuffling around, trying to get used to their surroundings, finding one of the paths winding through the gardens. Then they start walking, gaining more confidence, and then-



trip right into a fountain. Curse their recklessness.]

"Only a little, if you don't count my tail. Which isn't really practically helpful when it comes to height and stuff."

[They put their arms down.]

So um, Fidget? You said we're on a giant floating castle. It feels like we're in a garden? Plaza?

"Giant courtyard sort of thing?" Fidget says. "I'm still getting the lay of the land myself. All I can tell you is, don't go in the room with the birds. Scary, singing, cannibal birds."

Oh. Um, thanks for the advice.

[They're going to go in there anyway.]

So this is the courtyard? Center of the castle?

"As far as I know," Fidget says. "Just, uh. It's not a problem in here, but I'm pretty sure there isn't a railing around the edge of this place. So be careful and all that."

Gosh. Thanks for the heads up, Fidget. I'd hate to fall off accidentally, jeez.

"...How about I stick with you for a little while?" Fidget says. "At least until we find you something dry."

Yeah, that sounds good- I kind of need a guide to get anywhere, by the sound of it.

Um... which direction is the entrance back into the castle?

"I can sit on your shoulder and steer, if that helps," Fidget offers. Or if it doesn't. She's not picky and rides are nice.

Yes! That's fine- perfect, actually. I had a friend back home who did that for me.

"Hey, that works! Is one shoulder better than the other?"

Either one is fine. He usually changed spots however he liked.

"Coming up on your left," Fidget warns. She lands as gently as she can and successfully doesn't smack anyone upside the head with a wing. She might catch herself with her wing, but that is an entirely different thing. Sitting on the kid's shoulder, her legs in the front, her tail against a shoulder blade for balance, maybe she wraps her right wing around the back of the kid's head, just to be sure she's steady.

Aaaaand now her butt's wet.

They turn left as told, a sharp ninety-degree angle.

Yeah, a wett butt is usually what happens when you sit on someone who just fell into a pool of water.

"Whoa there, moving target!" She manages to catch her balance. "I meant landing on your left with you staying still."

[mercybutton]

They stop in their tracks immediately when her voice shows signs of alarm.

"Sorry, sorry! I'm not used to anyone but Flo- my friend guiding me." They go back to their original direction."

"First time for me, kid," Fidget says. "How about I twist or squeeze or something for directions when you're moving? Not that I mind constantly talking, that would also be fine."

"That's fine! I can work with that. I think having an entirely different system would help, so I don't misinterpret directions."

[prospectornimbat]

"How about I use my wing to steer you by the head or something?"

[mercybutton]

"Perfect. Lead the way."

[And they're going forward at a walking pace. Not too fast that Fidget wouldn't be able to handle controls fast enough, of course. They've learned this stuff with Flowey.]

[Yep, they turn to the right, but since she said a little, it's between straoght ahead and ninety degrees. Hope they got it right.]
