What very strange flowers...Lucas is pretty sure he's never seen these kinds before. They're not much like sunflowers at all, apart from perhaps their height--but maybe Mom would have liked them anyway. She was fond of all sorts. Even the kind that might whisper strange and sad things at you...Lucas leans down a bit, tipping his ear to the petals, and he hears--old, familiar thoughts. Which brings a bit of a pang, but he frowns too.
"Are you sure?" he murmurs back to the flower--but other movements and other voices catch his attention, after that, and he straightens before he can take in any particular response on the flower's part.
There's other forms, after all--unfamiliar, strange and menacing, passing around and about through the faintly glowing grass of the cavern. They call out a familiar name, which is startling as well, and Lucas turns, spotting familiar pale bones and a blue hoodie among the rocks. Getting there is trickier, his sneakers squelching and splashing in the mud and water, but he's concerned now, and that adds a bit more speed to his approach.
"Sans?" Lucas ducks and curls under the overhang himself, next to the skeleton, peering back out into the marsh with some alarm. He tentatively reaches for one of Sans' shoulders. "Sans, we should get out of here..."
