It's another pretty sunny day outside, today. Barely past noon, though already it seems like a lot of things are happening. A lot to think about. But just sitting around and mulling it all over feels like too little to do, with the odd half-anxious energy filling his limbs now. Lucas decides to try busying himself a little instead.
And so there's a boy in a yellow and red striped shirt out in the gardens, standing under one of the many fruit trees with a basket in hand. There's a lot of oranges around today--same as usual. Maybe even on the same spots on the ground as usual, he's starting to notice, still fresh as if they'd just fallen out the tree and yet...
Well, it's weird. Maybe he'll start paying more attention later. But for now he's just here to collect more oranges, to store in the kitchen for later and maybe chew on for lunch. And the basket is almost halfway full when he first notices the movement, coming from the direction of the castle. The stripes parse first, but then the one wearing them comes into view too, the more the distance closes, and Lucas straightens.
Still a mostly unfamiliar face. But only mostly. And he still remembers the colors of their shirt, too, even if a lot of it had been covered in blood at the time. Hm. ...He pauses, watching and waiting until the child is within audible distance. And then...
"Hello." It's a mild greeting. He gestures vaguely with his basket. "...Want an orange?"
