Even their starving-wild mind thought that inside would be safe. But no, the fire's snapping right against the cracked-glass windows, embers already catching on curtains the wolf's pacing away from.
They snarl displeasure around the tatters of meat hanging from their jaws. Anyone they encounter might be snapped at--but leaving the flames behind is preoccupying them for now. (Their stomach being only half-empty helps too.)
