Lucas moves to retrieve his chopping knife as Tauriel sits down, absently grabbing a few tomatoes from a nearby vegetable pile he'd set up and very slowly slicing into them. He does look Tauriel's way at the remark, though, and shrugs somewhat sheepishly.
"I do know how to cook a little bit, yes. Don't think I'm very good at it yet, but..." He glances back over to the pot. "Wanted to try out these vegetables somehow. ...You know how to cook too?" That's not so surprising, actually. Tauriel seems like a very grown up and capable sort of person.
