A screech, or a squawk--another horrible unheard noise escapes him as he tries to shout their name in alarm, only to have his voice drowned out by some unholy voidsound again. He drags his mass forward, grasping for their hand and hoping to get their thumb out of their mouth. Please. Maybe he's not too late, maybe he can scrape up some energy to heal them.
