They've got a moment to reorient themselves, at least, and think they know what's going on. "Go away, ghosts!" demands Frisk, even as they back away from the dark. "I'm just playing!"
Sparks gets himself upright again and growls at the arm, since he can see it best; it's moving, after all. He sends a (weak) bolt of electricity at it to make it stop.
