collectyourfriends: (gotta catch em--)

There's a green-and-yellow something streaking through the hallways, a massive trail of silver tinsel and the smell of static following in its wake.

A few moments after that, there's the sound of someone yelling in the distance--a child.

"No! No no no no no Sparks no stop!"

And sometimes Sparks does stop.

And waits for that little voice to catch up.

And every time, every time, he stays until the tiny child almost gets to him before turning and snapping his teeth at their hands and arms, and then he's off again.

Frisk is getting tired of this. Frisk's getting tired. They're so cold, in just a pair of long shorts and a T-shirt that says You're Numero Articuno! (They don't get the irony.) They'd rather be playing out in the snow anyway, 'cause they've never got to before, but they can't, because Sparks is being an extra jerk.

They've already got a collection of bloody marks on their arm, lines that end in dots--the unique bite of the Electrike line. It looks really weird, and feels even weirder, all tingly with the aftereffects of electricity.

Not that any of that'll stop them. They're going to catch up to it and give it a good scolding for wrecking peoples' stuff--the tinsel, the wreathes, the candles, some of the doors. Naughty naughty.

//warning that uh yeah, if your character gets in sparks' way he will probably attack them. it won't be too damaging but it won't be particularly fun either :V

Chara, this younger Chara, has never seen this much snow up close before - only the distant snowcap of Ebott, and a few scant inches on particularly lucky winters. Climate change has been hard at work by 211x.

So it's drawn them out of the Castle. This is a pleasant dream so far, even if it didn't start out that way, and they sit just outside the entrance, watching it fall. They don't play in it. They're not allowed - they'll only track mud and slush inside. Just doing this is pushing the envelope, but then again, this is nowhere they've seen before. If they're careful, no-one will know.

And then a green and yellow blur, their sweater colours, goes by and startles them, trailing silver tinsel, and without really thinking they make a grab for that trail.

That this wasn't the best idea becomes immediately apparent when they start getting pulled along.

Kalak only appears a few years younger then their current age, maybe pushing twenty but still undeniably an adult. But there is something so much lighter about their presance now, as they explore the festive halls of the castle and when Sparks rips past them they nearly leap back in shock. A monster is a very rare thing to see after all and they slam the butt of their spear down in front of the creatures face before they fully process it.

".....Green?" Its barely a mumble. They've never seen a green dog monster like this before. They quickly draw the spear back. Tensions are already high enough between their kingdoms for them to want to start anything. "....Sorry." They adress it quite seriously, before looking up to see the kid coming. They take a slight step foreword again, just in case. Children and monsters can be friends they know, but they really dislike seeing children cry. Especially because of preventable interspecies conflict.

"Are you....ok?" Words are hard. Kalak grimaces inwardly at their flat tone. They try, they do.

oldmantiger: Kotetsu as a child, visibly distressed and in tears ([Kid] In tears)

Oh god what is that.

Is it a cat is it a dog what is it why is it growling what what what...

Oh god it's coming right for them.

With a startled yelp of alarm and a sudden flaring of blue light around himself, Kotetsu scrambles out of the way of the rampaging Sparks. He hits a nearby side table and doesn't so much knock it over as break it to pieces, but he can't even muster up apologies just yet. Shock is too deeply set in as he stares first at the creature, then at the child.

"W-What is that?!"
