Yukio is shaking as she moves, and for a second, he tries to tug the knife back, before he realizes what she’s doing. She just… doesn’t want them hurt, right? It’s okay to let go for just a second. He releases his grip, feeling relief as he sees her set it nearby, relief that then floods him as he’s pulled close.
“I… I…”
He can’t say it back, voice to thick with tears. He wraps his arms around her as much as he can manage, choking back a sob.
