It takes Kotetsu a second to recognize Yukio. But when he does, he stops dead, feeling like his feet have been glued to the floor, that his heart is so heavy in his chest that it's weighing the rest of him down. He ducks his head a little, momentarily unable to meet Yukio's hesitant gaze, and runs a hand anxiously through his hair.
"H-Hey, um...kid?" He frowns a little more intently. He knows this kid's name. They did exchange names. Finally, hesitantly: "...Yukio, right? You okay?"
His memories of that last bad week are...still a little hazy. He recognizes Yukio. He remember's the boy's attempts to reach out to him and help him. He also remembers that they'd been largely unsuccessful, and...god, he can't be sure he hadn't hurt the poor kid for trying.

Somewhat belatedly, he returns that tiny wave.
