Now that they've got wings, getting down to the lake's a lot easier--and it's a bit of a confidence-boost, being able to just fly over it instead of trying their luck with a boat that'll probably sink.

In fact, that's exactly what they're doing when they come across each other; skipping from one disappointingly-muddy lake island to another, and then nearly landing facefirst into one when they spot a similar shape to theirs in the distance.
