If only they knew he normally has feathers in his hair--but he's human!! Really!! Not a mutated alien!!

He huffs a laugh or maybe a sigh, watching the kid fly off abruptly... then shrinking to a normal human height to go do some exploring of his own.

(And eventually find the library, only to realize he can't even enjoy a good book with these damn claws. Sigh.)
