...And they end up feeling glad they did. He probably shouldn't see the worry that flicks over their face at most of his little ramble.

"'Everything' musta been pretty bad." They toss their embarrassment from just a minute before to the side and slide closer. Physical nearness to make them both feel better, for them to hear him, for him to hear them. "'S not fair, what the castle sometimes does. But there's...it's usually...it's good to think here. Croc's kind of different from usual. Maybe, maybe it's good to be able to...start living in a place with food that never runs out an' you can sleep whenever you want an' all that kind of stuff."
Frisk is lying again, just a little, but it comes out a lot more smoothly. It's not worth being embarrassed about, but Kotetsu and Barnaby don't need to have more things to worry about. Best to try to see the good in the situation.
