Worried as she is about her friends, Toriel is hardly above standing guard when needed, and it's absolutely needed. Especially once her fire magic wears out -- which it's bound to, sooner or later -- she wants to be sure Croc isn't about to start rampaging again. And so she stands there, watching him with no small amount of disdain in her expression, arms folded over her chest, one padded foot tapping. It's the very image of Disappointed/Upset Mother.
Sulking is a step up from raging, but the growl still has her cautious.
"Fire magic is common in monsters like myself." The skeletons have blue magic, many of the Waterfall residents have water, Undyne has spears, and goats have fire. Go figure.
Her eyes narrow as she looks him up and down. The fire has done some damage, but it's nothing she can't heal away. ...Once she's certain he won't try to smash her for it.
"...What reason could you possibly have for such a rampage?"
Even as she asks it, the memory of Frisk raging in the throne room floats into her mind, and she suspects that maybe she already knows. But she wants to hear it all the same. A child is one thing; a full-grown adult is quite another.
fff sorry for the super slowness, caught the cold from hell
