It's kind of hard to get lost when one usually tends to stay in same place. They would know if they'd ended up in another part of the underground lake, somehow, but they don't remember leaving and beyond all else this is certainly nowhere that's even remotely familiar to them.
The ceiling is pale and far away and bright in the way that the caves of Waterfall never were, and it probably isn't even a ceiling at all. The shade cast over the stone markers they've found themselves among at least keeps them from shrinking in on themselves too much, but even with that they still feel uncomfortably exposed after hiding away for so long.
So after a few moments of staring, they try to leave to find somewhere more familiar, except as soon as they do so they trip over something with a startled squeak, scrabbling with their feet to find purchase on a floor that seems to be rolling bits of itself away and attempting to throw their tail back as a counterbalance. It takes a minute, but they do manage to get back up onto their feet to take a look at what had made getting up so hard.
... Small bones. Whatever skeleton left them lying around had rather strange taste in attacks. They'll just have to be careful not to slip on the tiny things, then, while trying to sneak closer to the castle wall. Maybe when they manage to get inside they can find a forgotten, dusty room or something and... well, maybe not lock the door, not unless they can do it with their mouth or tail, but at least they can try to not bother anyone?
