the aviary seems pretty popular

Anyone in or around the aviary may be subjected to a series of loud crashes, accompanied by a shout of alarm and lots of angry tweeting.

One moment Uriel was trying to land on the ground from the open air, and the next there was a roof over her head and a tree in her way. She had simply been going too fast to slow down or avoid it, so down through the branches she went, sending leaves, twigs and birds shooting off in every direction.

Ow.

By stretching her wings Uriel manages to slow her descent before she reaches the ground, though that still leaves her stuck in a tree she'll have to extricate herself from. Only once she's sure she's not going to crash down another few feet by moving does she take a moment to feel relieved.

Now, where is she...?

Uriel has managed to wrench a wing partially free, but unfortunately that doesn't make her much more mobile than she was a second ago. Her wings are simply too big.

Her gaze snaps down to meet Tauriel's, and she frowns. She's never seen someone like her before; it's somehow obvious that Tauriel is definitely not human.

"Who are you?"

Ulmo doesn't have a standard Sindarin name so I'm just gonna pick one of the three I found sob

"I am Tauriel." She holds her hands spread before her. Though she carries knives, they remain sheathed. "I mean you no harm."

Though she tries to speak calmly and with authority, there is yet a touch of wonder in her voice. Is she like Elwing, granted a change by Ulu--but only part of the way?

HAHAHA /cries and pats you

Uriel remains suspicious, but the fact is that if... Tauriel did mean her harm, she probably wouldn't be able to defend herself anyway.

She does notice the strange note in her voice, although the reason for it has not yet occurred to her.

"My name is Uriel." She scowls. "And you will tell me where I am."

ALSO FUN FACT: Tauriel thinks Uriel is Ûriel, "Daughter of Fire." Enjoy your new name meaning, Uri!

At once, the wonder vanishes from her. Though she may be but a Silvan Elf, she has her pride, and this Ûriel has grievously offended it.

"Will I indeed?" Her hand goes to her hip. "It seems to me you are in a poor place to speak without respect."

I think it means "God is my light," so she might not be wrong XD

Uriel's scowl deepens. "You will forgive me if I am in a poor mood."

"Will I indeed?" she repeats. "I am beginning to find myself in a poor mood as well. Maybe I should find company with better manners."

She turns to leave. She will find someone else to help this woman--someone who can bear such rudeness.
