Chara hadn't really noticed the gardens when they'd first arrived at the castle. They hadn't really been there long before Sans had killed them, after all, and they'd been too thrown off by being abruptly taken from the underground to really pay their surroundings much mind.

But for now they seem free to creep about the castle, and without really thinking about it they'd tried heading vaguely in the direction of the center. It hadn't taken too long, after shaking Grune and the others off, to find one of the many exits into the gardens.

They walk a little slowly, glancing between the trees and flowers and odd architectural features. It's nice and sunny out here, the clouds apparently not as prone to drifting through the very center of the castle, and while the entire place seems a little bit wild, well... if they'd been taken to this place a long time ago, Chara suspects they would have just found the gardens all the more beautiful for it.

As it is, they don't know what to think.

They're not really sure if they want to keep interacting with people, so when they see someone moving off near some trees, then hear them call out a greeting, they once again consider moving on- but the voice is that of another kid's and thus probably not as likely to be a nuisance the way an adult or group would be, so Chara slowly steps forward and examines the stranger with a wooden expression.

"Greetings," they say.

The stranger is... a blonde human boy, wearing a striped shirt that reminds them a bit of that one monster kid's. From the brief greeting however, Chara gets the impression of a more mellow personality.

Chara stares at the oranges as if they're not sure they're even real. They wonder if it's solid, human food, or the magical monster kind. They haven't eaten human food in a long, long time, and they're oddly unsure if they even could at this point.

"...No," they say. "Who are you?"
