Adam smiles and squeezes Kotetsu’s hand, even as he gasps, pleasantly surprised by the hug. For a brief moment, he forgets his carefully constructed lies and deceptions and clings back with a sigh. God, this is all he wanted… and everything his brother doesn’t deserve to have.
“I didn’t mean it like that.” Like what? Adam probably means it in a far crueller way than Kotetsu imagined… but that still means he didn’t intend for it to have the implications Kotetsu is imagining. Without any more focus on that, he stands and follows after Kotetsu.
“Oh… is it that late already? I was so focused on practicing, I didn’t really notice. Were you planning on making something for us?”
