[Whatever is that oversaturated ego leaking from the cracks of the castle door? It almost creates a spotlight effect, the dust in the castle making it look like smoke is rolling through the room. Who is creating this powerful aura? Why, it's everyone's favorite(?) Underground super star! The door finally bursts open and a shapely leg clad in a pink high heeled boot steps through, followed by the rest of the fabulous robot, noodly arms wrapped around several pink suitcases.

Why would anyone want to vacation in a place like this? Who knows. No one knows how Mettaton's brain works. Sometimes even he himself doesn't know.

Of course, he's expecting this to be like a hotel and calls out for the staff that does not exist:]

Yoohoooo~ Anyone home? I'm looking to rent a room! Your best room.

[You can either help him out, inform him that he's very much mistakened, or find him later on once he's settled in, if there happens to be a parlour or a library.]

[Toshi takes the hand, a bit sheepishly, but his grip is comfortingly firm.]

The Castle is magic, and follows its own rules. On the day-to-day, rooms will move and appear and change. Sometimes more complicated things will happen, like persons... turning into other things, or suddenly being much younger than they were before. Those never last for too long, though.

Oh dear. That.. is concerning.

[And very off putting. Mettaton sighs and glances around the main room.]

I suppose I should find a room if I'm going to be stuck here... Would you mind helping me?

[darkerstripes]

Sometimes, yes. But most of the time it's pretty quiet around here.

[He doesn't want to stress Mettaton out any more than he already is, poor thing. He wishes he could be more reassuring.]

Of course. There are plenty of rooms left to claim. Shall I help with your bags?

[Just ignore that painful little pang in your chest that he doesn't know you, Toshi. Ignore it.]

[That gets him to smile a bit again.]

That's good at least. And you don't have to, darling. You're already helping me enough with the information you've given me and finding a room. I really do appreciate it.

[Ready for another pang? 'cause Mettaton leans over and kisses Toshi on the cheek.]


[Question! Does Toshi's MTT have all of his face finished or is the part under his hair still exposed inner-workings?]

[Ow, two pangs. That smile, and then the worst one yet with the kiss. Ow ow ow. Toshi's smile wavers a little in spite of his best efforts.]

Ah- I just like being helpful.

[Especially for Mettaton, after how good he's been to Toshi.]

[ooc: UH GOOD QUESTION I assume so? I have not been told otherwise! I'll check to be sure though.]

[He starts heading down the hall, assuming it's the correct way to the rooms, walking at a slow enough pace for Toshi to keep up.]

So, tell me about yourself~ What do you do for a living? Some of your interests and hobbies?

[Toshi shrugs a shoulder in a half-dismissal. He's not so sweet, really. Honestly. He's just... Toshi.

He follows Mettaton, keeping up fairly easily on his long mechanical legs. It doesn't matter too much which way they go. The Castle will get them there eventually.

Oh, Mettaton. You're basically the same every time, aren't you? This is so de ja vu to the first time... Toshi tries to shake it off.]

I'm not so interesting. I work tech support for Hero TV back home, fixing software issues and doing small repairs on weapons and armor.

[Taking care of Barnaby and Kotetsu is kind of his real full time job, though.]

[Not so interesting? He said TV. And Hero. Those two words immediately pique his interest.]

Hero TV? What is that?

[Also a possible repairman for him... This is good.]

[Yeah he... he should have seen that coming. Regrets, he has them.]

Oh. Right, that isn't entirely self-explanatory. Back home where I'm from, there are people who have powers, of all kinds. They are called NEXT- Noted Entities with eXtraordinary Talents. Hero TV is a reality-type show where NEXT with particularly suited abilities fight crime and protect the people of Sternbild. My... best friends are a partner duo on the show.

[He winces at the hesitation there. How could he possibly explain what Kotetsu and Barnaby are to him? Especially considering he can barely explain it to the Kotetsu and Barnaby that are here...]

[Mettaton's eyes light up at the explanation.]

That sounds... amazing! I knew humans were capable of some magic but I didn't think they relied on it like that! It must have been quite a show.

[He pauses.]

... How good are you at repairing armor and equipment?

[darkerstripes]

[He demurs, smiling a complex smile. Of course Mettaton would be so into this. He walked right into it.]

I suppose it is a form of magic.

[For humans, at least. It's hard to know. NEXT are poorly understood.]

NEXT are still uncommon, and not always well-accepted. It's a complicated social business.

[Oh. He's thinking of robot repairs. This Mettaton doesn't necessarily know about Toshi's state of being. That whole... business. He doesn't remember it. Another painful sting.]

Well, I've managed to repair myself well enough on occasion, so not too shabby I suppose.
