Anyone in or around the aviary may be subjected to a series of loud crashes, accompanied by a shout of alarm and lots of angry tweeting.

One moment Uriel was trying to land on the ground from the open air, and the next there was a roof over her head and a tree in her way. She had simply been going too fast to slow down or avoid it, so down through the branches she went, sending leaves, twigs and birds shooting off in every direction.

Ow.

By stretching her wings Uriel manages to slow her descent before she reaches the ground, though that still leaves her stuck in a tree she'll have to extricate herself from. Only once she's sure she's not going to crash down another few feet by moving does she take a moment to feel relieved.

Now, where is she...?

"Whoa!"

Sophie's eyes go huge as suddenly everything gets loud: birds screaming, branches snapping, and the sound of someone falling hard at high speed. Without meaning to, she backs away, Xelques long gone, until she's pressed up against the wall.

When all of the noises stop--well, except for the birds--Sophie takes a small step forward to see what in the world happened. In seconds, she finds the person responsible for all the racket, and she takes in a breath to say hi when--

Wings.

Sophie gasps and runs for the door. She has to go get Gee Girl.

She tries not to notice how empty her back feels.

Uriel just catches sight of the child-- backed up against the wall, and bearing the silver hair of most angels, but definitely not winged-- before she runs off.

She frowns. There are very few humans left, if any, and none had hair like that...

But she has bigger things to worry about at the moment. She'll free herself (hopefully) and save the investigating for later.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah Sophie has not had a great time since leaving Luceti

Sometime later, Sophie returns, leading (or, well, dragging) Gee Girl by the hand. As they walk through the door, Uriel should be able to hear her saying, "See? She has wings. And she needs help."

"Oh, my," Grune says when she catches sight of Uriel. She stops in place, and Sophie stands in front of her, almost on her toes. Poor dear.

She raises her voice a little and calls, "Hello! Do you need help?"

Uriel frowns, but the woman seems harmless enough. The child definitely trusts her, at least.

"I am having trouble freeing myself," she admits.

"My, that isn't very nice. Don't worry," she assures their new friend. "We'll get you down. Right, Sophie?"

Sophie hangs back as Grune bustles forward, just...looking at the lady with the wings.

Finally, quietly, she says, "...Yeah," and goes to help.

...Well, the woman seems too sincere to be much of a threat, so Uriel will give them the benefit of the doubt. Uriel simply chalks Sophie's strange gaze up to wonder.

"I would appreciate that."

Grune moves forward until she can reach out and start pulling way the branches from the lady's wings. She stands on her toes and makes sure to look after the ones that are too high up for Sophie.

"I'm Grune, and this is Sophie! What's your name?"

Sophie doesn't say anything. She only starts working on untangling the lady from the branches within her reach.

At least she's getting out.

"My name is Uriel. Well met, Grune and Sophie."

[lostinmyway]

"It's very nice to meet you!" Grune pauses long enough to beam at her new friend. "When you can come down, we should show you all the nice parts of the castle. Right, Sophie?"

"Yeah."

Sophie keeps working without looking at Uriel.

Uriel notices, but thinks nothing of it.

"That is kind, but I have duties which I must return to."

Where is the Hellguard?!

"Oh dear," Grune says.

She spends a moment freeing a bit more of Uriel's wing, then looks up at her and says, "I'm sorry. No one here knows how to go home."

"It's like Luceti," Sophie adds.

[ofthehellguard]

Uriel froze. No one knows...?

But these people don't have wings. Surely she could simply fly away, even if she doesn't know where she is...

"Luceti?"

She needs to meet Bat Batman and have a wingbuddy. :Db

"Yeah."

[lostinmyway]

"Have you been to Luceti?" Grune asks.

She doesn't remember seeing Uriel there, but maybe she was.

"I have never heard of Luceti," Uriel says truthfully. And she's heard of a lot of places. "It is a place where none can leave?"

That would be so great. XD And Mettaton can buzz around their heads.

"Well...Sophie and I used to live there. But almost everyone has gone home now," she explains.

There! Uriel should be able to move a little now.

"We all were brought together to Luceti, the same way we've all been brought together to the castle." She smiles. "I've made so many friends already, and Sophie has, too!"

"Yeah."

Her expression lightens a little at that.

[ofthehellguard]

Uriel flaps a wing experimentally, careful not to hit either of them. She is indeed looser than she was! Maybe she'll be able to get out now.

"So we can leave," Uriel says cautiously.

(Just Grune this time!)

"Mmm.... Someday."

She thinks.

Someday. Not soon enough.

Uriel wrenches her other wing free and tries to pull them both closer to her body-- might prevent either of them from being too badly caught. "So people from all over Creation have been brought here, and none can leave."
