All humans look pretty similar to Sans. That said, he can certainly tell that this one hasn't been having the greatest time of it. Very few of them have. Hopefully this party will cheer him up a bit.

He can even respect the line of questioning. This is nominally a scientific endeavor, after all.

"first of all, neither do i." He ticks off his answers on his fingerbones. "still think it's a good plan we figure this place out, don't you? second of all, they'd probably just fall back on our heads, same as most anyone that goes over the edge does. you ever had cake smashed on your head? it feels pretty weird, even when it can't get in your eyesockets." He pokes himself in the eyesocket as a demonstration. "third of all..."

He walks over to the table, picks up a muffin, resists the impulse to just crumble and tear it to pieces, and carefully eats around it instead. His care is rewarded by keeping him from biting too hard into the diamond earring buried inside. Instead, he picks it up, brushes some crumbs off it, and holds it up for Kuja to see.
