[Frisk isn't sure how they got here, honestly. They've already done what they set out to do, though, so taking some time off to wander wouldn't be so bad...even if it was completely by accident...right? Right.

Just as long as they're home soon before people worry. They don't want to make people worry.

So for now, here, have a new Frisk wandering around the castle, staring curiously at the world with their strange violet eyes. The warmth of the sun...the sky and the breeze...everything....it's all so nice!

It's their first time seeing any of it for real.]

[They're acting pretty unfazed for a newbie. Then again, they're a Frisk.]

It's a...hub. A bunch of people from different timelines and worlds are here, and nobody knows why. There's some Frisks and Sans-es and Charas and a weird little Papyrus. The castle's huge, and magic. It's in the sky. Rooms move around sometimes too. ...Like in the CORE.

[There is precious little that can actually faze this one. That said, this information does make them tilt their head one way, then the other, in confusion.]

That's unusual. The multiples of people, I mean.

[They shrug in response. It's true, but they've gotten used to it.]

Not little little--he's still taller than us, but he's really young, a lot younger than us. He just got picked up from a lab.

[They might've spat that last word a little bit.]

[That did not sound like a happy statement, which means the lab was a bad place, which means this is a universe very unlike their own, and Papyrus being in a bad place means that-

Deep breaths, Frisk. You know other worlds aren't like yours.

(But it doesn't make it hurt any less, knowing that their friends get hurt.)]

[Frisk goes ramrod straight at the noise. Only a moment later, though, they're reaching out to pat their other on the shoulder.]

It's okay. He's here now! And his brother. It's...it's better.

[Yeah, they were too shocked not to speak, wonky vocal cords be dunked on. The news calms them, though, and they slump a bit in relief.]

That's good. At least they're safe. It's weird to know that there's worlds where they got hurt like that, though.

[Doctor would never have okayed that. ... Oh stars, did that mean the Doctor was in on it, on those worlds? It makes them a bit ill to think about it. They might have been an experiment, an engineered being, but-

But at least they were treated well, as well as one in the void can be, anyway.]

[Frisk nods grimly. Weird and awful. They're babies, they deserved love and taking-care-of, not experiments and being set up for failure.]

...What's yours like? World, I mean. [What timeline, what part of it? They don't seem too weirded out, so they think maybe after the end, but of course they can't be sure.]

[They pause briefly - how much should they say? "Hi, I'm also an experiment"? "Time is weird"? - before continuing.]

Everyone's out of the Underground.

Everyone who wanted to leave, that is.

[Flowey - Asriel ... they understand the other kid's reasoning, but it still hurt...]

[Frisk understands, or so they think. They smile softly.] Yeah? Mine too. Got here right after that happened.

Time is weird here, isn't it?

[Because if they arrived at different times, then...]

Yeah, the different timelines stuff. And if anybody dies, they come back in three days, no SAVE or anything.

[They adjust the green scarf wrapped around their neck, ever hiding the scar of their first--and so far, only--death in the castle.]

[That was supposed to be a shocked inhale, but it came out as a godawful death rattle. They really need to get their vocal cords fixed...]

That's kind of scary.

Kind of. I don't...like...that everybody remembers. [Which might come off as selfish, but Frisk doesn't think so. It's so much stress for everyone...]

Yeah, that's [They hesitate for a moment. Is there even a word besides 'bad' for that? ... They're pretty sure there isn't.] bad.

[They can't imagine what it would be like for everyone to remember them dying. Honestly, they're still getting used to being alive - to dealing with people - and they've already decided they don't want to hurt them, ever.

So, if they died and the people they knew remembered, then...yeah, that'd be bad.]

It's only happened a couple times here. Me once an' a Chara once. I think. Nobody was freaking out 'bout anyone else dying, so probably just us.

[Ah...Chara. The original, the one they were patterned after. Frisk still isn't sure how to feel about them, honestly.

Mostly because they never met them (though they've got their suspicions about that snarky narrative voice in their head...)]

Is Chara okay here?

[That said, they do know what Chara is capable of, the kind of person they are/can be. Those are the worst timelines, and Frisk is glad to have never been in them.]

...mostly. [Privately, Frisk doesn't think any Chara is okay.] One's my friend.

The other one...they're the one who died, and they're the one that killed me. [They tap their throat through the scarf.] They're messed up, and I still gotta...work hard to make friends.

Haven't seen them around much. People locked them up in a tower 'cause they were dangerous, but they're...not in there anymore. [Frisk doesn't sound at all displeased about that.]

Oh no. [They look sad, but not surprised about this fact.]

If they're not in the tower, then I hope they [They pause for a second, again, not sure how to word it. Their hands move incoherently before they finally settle on] found peace somehow.

[Frisk doesn't know. They wonder about the one they knew back home, sometimes, and about...things Chara said.]

[But...nothing to do about it right now. They've mulled over Chara plenty on their own time, no reason to take this Frisk's first day up with worries of that caliber.]

[They haven't received a call with that godawful Wrong Number Song yet, so they can only assume nobody from their particular timeline is at the castle.]

[Frisk shrugs.] Maybe my uncle--Mettaton, and maybe Toriel and one of the Asriels, but I dunno. They came from later than me.
