The Manetric seemed harmless enough, just cautious. Frisk acts unaware of their existence in general, so hey, fine with them.

It's rude to try to immediately pet animals without their consent, especially if they're as intelligent and headstrong as this one. Chara holds enormous respect for canines and canine-like creatures for many reasons such as that.
