Slowly, with fluid movements, Grune slips forward. With one hand, she gently pulls the knife from Yukio's fingers as she kneels and wraps her arm around his shoulders. She sets the knife on the floor nearby--not so close to maybe hurt Yukio by accident, but not so far to make him scared--and then draws him close with both her arms.
